Looks fantastic, starting at about 8PM lasting until about 8AM Monday morning. I'm putting in an order for glowsticks for kites and sails. Let me know how many you'd like. We can all park our cars on the beach and turn on the headlights to see shore.

Wait, can we seriously do this? Won't the coast guard have some problem with this? I mean it is kind of crazy. I am totally in if people want to do it. I'll take four glow sticks.

Save your money on the glowsticks; the moon will be bright by then

Anyone want to try heading East on Sunday during the day for some exploring? Looks like it could be westerly. Fair haven?

Fairhaven is a nice launch but I'm thinking Hamburg might win out with the wind. Let's hope the forecast amounts to something tomorrow and we have that choice. IWindsurf hasn't had the best record recently.

Family guy Doug might be staying close to Rochester......The Pond? If it is windy and raining in Hamburg I'd rather wait out the rain. But if it's going really good I could be persuaded. Wd

I'm down with Hamburg if anyone want to carpool. The wind looks like it is going to be stronger toward Oswego which is why I sugested East but some say the West is the best.

Right now it is showing good SW wind for Long Pond around 8am. I am a lazy bum that likes to sleep in but I will get up if anyone calls me (315-244-8373) or if the wind wakes me up. My parents are coming to visit my sister and I tomorrow so I am somewhat hesitant to go to Hamburg, but if it gets good ... I might have to go.
Why is the iwindsurf flowvis thing and the wind prediction plot showing different forecasts?

Monday looks way better now. I might even break out the sailboard. I picked up a nice 3.7M & 4.2M RealHot about 2 yrs ago and only have them one time in Hamburg. Once it switches around to the NW we could have a classic hurricane day on our hands. I blocked off my calendar as vacation for Monday. I'm in......sans glowsticks.

Forecast seems all over the place... Seems to be picking up here: www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=dbln6and looks good tomorrow and Monday (kinda crazy for me) here: www.windfinder.com/forecast/lake_ontario_buoyIf it is from SW tomorrow, is it better at Hamburg (I've been there 2 times), or Seneca (never been there). I'm still a beginner, can't go upwind yet, but having a GREAT time learning...still hesitant to break out the 15m, but keep feeling underpowered with the 9m...but, I think much of that is inexperience...

that was a strange day... it looks like the wind just vanished pretty much for Upstate NY today. But it was fun driving to Hamburg... waiting around all day for the wind... sweating... driving home with the smell of skunk everywhere NOT Looking for some small animal or child to sacrifice to the wind gods now to appease them.
