Hey guys, it looks like tomorrow is going to be rather windy ... ;D From what iwindsurf is telling me it looks like it going to be coming out of the south. Where are people going to be sailing??? Seneca? Da Club??? It looks like it might be a little too south for Hamburg but I have heard stories about the magical Hamburg wind and how it is always from the perfect direction.

Mike, work overnight but I'll be at Seneca early morning and I will be riding until the wind dies or my redbull runs out. I know my buddy Jason and Kel are going to be kiting so sail on over. I suggest we all bring a little snack and some beer and make it a social gathering in the afternoon, kind of a windsurfer and kiter peace gathering ;D LOL. I am going to bring some charcoal and a cooler with some beer. Post here if you guys are coming...

Hey Gary, I am headed to Seneca not Hamburg. My buddy Jason is learning to kite and I am not going to throw him into the break at Hamburg just yet If anyone else is headed to Seneca I just packaed up my car with cooler and charcoal, grilling burgers or dogs for a shore lunch.

My vote is for Seneca, (kinda 'cause it's closer and Hamburg is best in the west)
Just let's have some wind somewhere....Please!
Also I'm all about Peace and of course Beer!
Anyhow let's see what happens...Gary that means you too.

Bill extending the olive branch. Anyway looks like it is still going to go off at Seneca so get there early. Grilling will be done right in front of the Beach area (AKA goose toilet) with whatever people bring. Looks like the wind is going to be good all day so start making excuses to your loved ones now!

Ok guys, my dad came for an afternoon visit and he brought his camera with him. Some of you may have seen him out on the pier. He got some video of us all. Here is a link with the videos that people will be interested in. Gary, there is one with you. Alan P. there is one of you. David you are in there too. You might see yourself in these I just can't remember the color of everyones' sails/kites. Oh yea, the files are huge and are probably going to need another hour to upload over this crappy wireless connection. www.cis.rit.edu/~mez3252/stuff/9.5.08/All in all it was a great day. I started out on my 8.5. I had lots of power and I never came off of plane. After an hour the wind started picking up and I was getting very overpowered and had to come in. I rigged up my 7.0 and headed back out. Everyone else pretty much did the same. I was out for another hour or two on that set up until I got overpowered. The day ended with 30minutes on my 103L and 6.0 sail. Earlier in the day I got a couple of good races with David. Nothing like some friendly competition! I was having a really hard time with my jibes. I don't think I stayed dry on any of them and I haven't quite figured out why. I seem to have enough speed. I think I was just having trouble controlling the board. My lack of control was due to leaning too far back (or just not leaning forward) and carving too tight for 144L board. Well it looks like I might get some time practice on monday at Hamburg and Tuesday on Seneca.
