A thread to see if any windsurfers / kiters / (friends who may want to learn kiting) are interested in a trip to the Sauble Beach/Oliphant area May 16th-19th (+- 3 days either side). May 20th is Canada's Victoria Day, their equivalent to our Memorial Day, so the area will be quite rowdy that weekend. There are miles of sandy beach along Sauble that goes on anything SW to NW, Oliphant features 2 huge sandy very shallow bays that go on a SW or a NW. Kiterider.ca is the IKO school at Oliphant. I have negotiated very favorable IKO certification rates that weekend for experienced riders wishing to get checked off and obtain their IKO Cards. IKO lesson packages for newbies are available. If sufficient interest, I will book best Oliphant beach cottage available...rates at best sites right on the kite beach approx $150 (Can) weekly per person. Camping areas abound nearby also.
