Wow, Long Pond is getting popular with the kiters! The windsurfers, floating debris and dead fish will have to make a little more room.
Anyhow, Art and I sailed some gusty "classic" Long Pond conditions today while 3-4 kite guys including Doug C, and Gus, and a late showing Jason did likewise. Art got a brand new 6.0 Ezzy Freeride wet for the first time while I went out on a 5.8. As planned, after getting a feel for his new sail, Art headed in for a 5.2 and smaller board. I cinched everything as flat as I could and held on. It was gusting over 30 according to my handheld meter. Jason arrived for some strapless kiting as I as heading home. The wind was doing it's best to nuke up just before shutting off. I could be wring though.
