I had this same thing happen two years ago, and the coasties came out to resuce me. Bill tired to be my reindeer and pull me to shore but it didn't work. Eventually (When the rescue crew arrived) I drifted to shore at a bit west of Durand. Joe and I carried my gear back and we went home for dinner.
