I missed the morning call for Seneca with too many obligations. The Waterauthority gave me an onsite report and we agreed Long Pond looked like it would hold up better for the afternoon. Good call Rick. Whew! I got myself good and tired from 1-5 on a 5.6 and 110L new Quatro board. Just one other kiter playing on the pond and it was as good as I've had for Long Pond in the Spring. Almost steady and at least manageable from overpowered to coasting thru the lulls. Just the sweetest so far this season and a fine setup for heading to Hatteras next Saturday.
Yeah Life!! I'd love to hear the other adventures of the day.

Come on, nobody? You were all there except for maybe a handful of sailors/kiters. The meter looked awesome (thanks again Kel!), and Joe gave me a quick synopsis, but like my forecast, I like to triangulate my session reports. Hopefully there was good laughing at my expense while I was shopping for kids furniture instead of sailing. It hit hard when I was heading north on rt. 14 to Barbara Jeans furniture and Windkid was heading south to Seneca at 10:30.

Here's the 1ft look at Saturday. When I arrived I immediately spied Jimmy "Log rolling" King skimming along toward the Chamber from the park. The waves were sending nice plumes of water off the break wall promising a good session to the non shopping members of our talented little tribe. In attendance were the indomitable Wateraruthority Rick, Dr. "open door policy, no boots Miller," the one and only Joe H, tech Ted, Jammin' Jones, Immune man Mark, Jimmy "dead man" King, and of course yours truly 1ft frozen Nies. I rigged a 5.2 based on Rick's choice since anything Jimmy rigs means less than nothing. I believe everyone else opted for something in the upper 4 range. The 5.2 worked fine, only problem was that you had to have a keen eye out for debris, some nasty trees were out there lurking just beneath the surface. I believe Jimmy's board met the aquaintence of one of them. The water was cold but the waves and the wind were there and all in all I thought it was a good session. I'm sure that I missed a lot, but then I'm pretending to work. WK
