Last Friday, Sail Flow sent me a replacement module for the Seneca meter.
I had a crazy week, so I could not get it replaced this last week. But I have it with me.
If there is anyone around Geneva that has a ladder I could use (about 8 feet should do I think). It would save me a trip to Rochester and back to Geneva.
If you do, or know someone that does and could meet me tomorrow (4/17), we could GIT-ER-DONE!
Just email me at kelshipman@aol.com or call 315-955-2197
blow wind blow!

Yo Kel,
I can't meet you there with a ladder on 4/17, but I will show my thanks sometime this year with an ice cold Session lager, straight from Full Sail brewery in Hood River (via Beers Of The World). Thanks for doing more than your part with the lightnig rod at the Geneva Chamber of Commerce.
I promised Windkid a Session too, so they might be gone after this weekend. Professional taste tester that one is.

Wow seneca was the craziest I have ever seen. I jumped in my drysuit and bobbed in the waves at the wall. Saw one guy in a drysuit windsurfing.

We have meter!
LOL too funny Doug. Yes it is quite an effective lightening rod!
Many thanks to Dr. Brad M. from Geneva. He hooked me up with a local ladder from his friend so we could mount the unit on the roof top today. Just in time, as the wind started to blow pretty good today. Too bad it was out of the SW so much. I was happy to get off of that roof!
Look forward to the cold Hood River Logger!! BLOW WIND BLOW!

Ahhhhh......Did you mean Hood River Logger or Lager? Big difference. Got a chance to look at the Seneca Wind meter on my trip down on Wednesday. It looks bigger and has a ton more whirlygigs (scientific term...according to Eric Sanford). Kel, how much repair work have you done so far at the Chamber?
Also, perhaps this is another chance to start the discussion about moving (or putting it on a longer pole) the Durand meter out of the windshadow it is apparently in.

I'd be happy to help with installing an extension on the Durand meter when the time comes.

LOL Right - I definitely meant Hood River Lagger!!! Dang sure I dont want to try a Hood River Logger, what with the wood chips and all!
The Seneca sensor, since last year, now has a cell phone connection using a battery and solar panel for power.
