Updating Bill's post, the below is available on the D and C website as of 7:50 this evening (many of you guys know Steve, so this info may be outdated):
SOUTH BRISTOL — A bicyclist has been hospitalized after a driver cut him off in traffic on Route 21 and hit him.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office said Stephen Howie, 58, of Canandaigua may have suffered broken ribs and leg injuries after a car driven by Ernest G. Pitts, 81, of Webster moved back into its lane too early and struck Howie about 12:30 p.m. Friday.
Howie was flown by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment. He was listed in satisfactory condition Friday night, a hospital spokesman said.
Pitts was ticketed for unsafe passing.
