Yesterday I didn't have any wind at my house in Webster but checked the Charlotte Pier meter out of boredom and found 20mph winds out of NE! I left my house around 1 and headed to the outlet, put up a 15 and was overpowered. So I put my 11 up and was a little under but as the wind picked up it wasn't bad. I got to ride for a couple of hours but my wife went to the REO Speedwagon concert last night so I had to go home for the kid. Dick Miller put up a 12 just as I was leaving but ventured to the other side of the pier so I couldn't tell how much fun he was having.
Kind of uneventful but it felt so good after getting skunked the last couple of times out. FYI the outlet is pretty much not doable in a SW wind. It swirls pretty bad & the kite is only powered at 12 o'clock. I was hoping there was enough of a gap but no luck so far.
One of the many Kiteboarding Chris's (I know at least 3!) is out at Durand right now and said its blowing 25mph NE.
