So if you got out (looks like Hamburg was epic) today lets hear about it.
Me, I was the best windsurfer on Long Pond hands down. That's right, me......cause nobody else was there. Actually two guys who are working on learning were having varried success, and Art showed but was most likely turned away by the typical Long Pond wind.
Rigged a 5.8 and planed out, jibed, slogged....for 30 min. Then rigged a 7.5 and had a blast for 45 minutes while only missing 3 jibes in planing conditions (not necessarily planing jibes, and yeah, I KNOW IT WAS ONLY LONG POND!) I have timing issues when it comes to jibes (who doesn't). I either do well on my big stuff or I do well on my small stuff but never consistently both. Lately I had sucked big time on my bigger (and theoretically) easier gear....not today.
I'm the King of Long Pond!!!.....at least for today....and at least my son and wife think that that is a big deal. Ha.
What happened with anybody else?
Rest Up! Tomorrow looks to be another arm stretcher of a day.
