We are all excited when a promising forecast comes across the net however with more & more sites to choose from at best they are contradictive. Different level sailors look for different wind speeds. That's why it's important to know who's telling the fish stories. Here are some data points on Saturday's Lake Erie conditions * Forecast IWindsurf color charts 22mph * Marine forecast 15 to 20 * IWindsurf Daily Briefing " Crystal & Hamburg strongest in the mid 20's * Thermo-nuclear was never part of the forecast * There are no local windsurfers that are meteorologists * A Jeep in the parking lot had 38 stickers on it * One overly excited sailor used a 4.7m while 3 confidant others rigged 6.3m Not the best day to drive to Buffalo unless you wanted to put your SUP to use. I had a very wise engineering manager tell me while I was explaining to him a situation " data, data bring me data". Remember this is Windsurfing NOT fishing so let's not get "blown off the water" with the size of the actual conditions, " data, data bring me data". H2O (realistic) Rick

If you had been there earlier it was much better ( as in wind came all the way to shore) When TrickyRicky finally got rigged it was still 4.5 (for small experienced gonzo sailors) I know it really really bugs you when I am on a 4.5 whillist you are rigging a 6.5) PS: I only am at only 155 and that makes it what it is!
May the wind GODS bless you better next time
PSS: Get a smaller board
