It's hard for me to pin down one location that is my favorite, so you are allowed two responses per user. If you kite and windsurf then give two answers if you like different places for each wind sport.
THEN......
If you have time add a post to this thread explaining what you love about your selection(s).
Ex. Seneca, on a 5.2 or less day because it is so Gorge-like. Canandaigua, because I am learning and the shallow water, bikini's, and buff dudes (maybe some women will respond to this poll?) keep my spirits up. Hamburg, because of the HUGE swell and hang-time for kite tricks.
Thanks for having fun and taking time for this poll.
See ya out there,
Windydoug

See ya out there, Windydoug I choose East Bay for one simple reason....It is by far the best offering of everything we need ( except sand ) The rigging area is grassy and out of the wind, the launch is good and the swells can be great,,,,the view of the bluffs while out on the lake is spectacular.....also very close to most of us ....especially Kinger...King of Sail!

Whoa! Nice! A long overdue post from the sailor previously know as the King of Bail. Thanks King of Sail. Great points about E Bay, post more. You've been tearing up the swell at E Bay ever since we started heading out there more often, and you have a reserved parking and rigging spot right next to the fence.
I chose Seneca for its Gorgesque conditions when it gets to be 5.8 or below. Nice swell that is rideable and jumpable, warm water, two rigging locations, kite and sail together, meet up with the good folks that sail the southern ends of the finger lakes, spectators to watch us wind board and kite sail. The only draw back is the weeds, and that we don't get to sail/kite there enough..... Oh, Kinger. How bout sending those great pics of the waves at Cargill (and any shot you may have gotten of yours truly at E Bay)? See ya out there.

My number 1: has to be Hamburg after kiting there last summer and fall.
Love the clean fetch for butter smooth wind, giant swell, and rollers when they hit the slate shelf! And thanks to a nice city thermal, it goes off pretty regularly!
And for dessert at the end of the day: a sunset down-winder to Dock on the Bay, about a mile down, where you can play in front of the restaurant a while and then if you smile a lot while walking into the bar, you will mostly likely get a free drink and a ride back to Hamburg park.
