Well I made it to NY and have my gear in hand. Is there a better time of day for launching from Geneva? Friday 9/18 says 10-15 W from a non-reliable source If the wind is good, I do not start work until Monday 1pm, so give me a call or I will just see people on the water. Early word is that Durand Beach may be good on Friday. I'm guessing that even with a wind shadow it may be the preffered kite launch...or maybe Sodus? Glad you're back in the area. See ya out there. Doug

Does the wind blow early or late at Durand? I can get there after noon if it's windy.
Thanks for the update.

The Forecast according to IWindsurf.com is showing 18mph or so around the 11 a.m. time slot, a lull to low-mid teans around afternoon with a boost back to around 20mph late afternoon early evening. NOAA is showing SW going NW 10-20kn. Check the Quantum Leap windline to see if it is going. Lynn is really good about updating if he is there. Durand can go almost any time. In summer it is strongest around 1 p.m. WD
