A couple of Chris's have been riding Charlotte...apparently the lifeguards left on labor day and the beach is wide open. They said nobody bothers them and the pier can provide some calm water in a NE wind. You can still head out for some waves if you're up for it!
NOAA says a small craft advisory starts building at midnight tonight with NE winds at 15-20 tomorrow turning SE at night. I can't get out till 5:30 but I'm bringing my stuff with me and hoping to head to Charlotte (long as it hasn't turned too far South).

For the superstitious wind enthusiasts out there...... What? Kiters and Boarders superstitious? ? Unheard of. Anyhow, I removed my already packed boards from my roof rack last night in the dark (wearing a headlamp) in an attempt to not jinx the possibility for today. Hopefully it works. Ken called me out after passing my car hopelessly waiting at the ready in the school parking lot. I had of course not removed my boards from the previously jinxed West wind on Sunday. Before that Mike (new nickname "Francisco Z") possibly jinxed the previous Wednesday at Durand by discussing it ahead of time on the forum. BUT, my car looks pretty stinking cool with three windsurfers up on top! And it is great exposure for the sport with all the looks that I get. Anyhow, I am hoping for some Montana action later today after school. Call the windline. WD
