Finally, two days of wind in a row......I missed the first one of course (Hamburg yesterday). Jimmy King somehow always get to a location when the wind starts blowing. I am starting to believe his "you should have been here when I got here", line. Anyhow, waiting out the rain with 5-6 of the guys and Jimmy says, "Hey lets hike to the top of the bluff". After laughing about a cozy moment with Jim at the top of the bluff I joined in. Here is the amazing part, as soon as we neared the top of the trail Ed Schmidt's (sp?) son said something and all of us took a look out at the a lake to see the wind turning west and moving our way in a hurry. Taking in the white water and feeling the wind blast us as we crested the hill (with a little rain for good measure) made it seem l like mother nature was saying (thanks for sticking around, go enjoy!). Amazing stuff. Jim, Art, Joe, Mark, Gary,Ed, and Doug got a couple hours of 5.2-4.8 sailing in. The water took a little while to get itself figured out after the wind change, but it did deliver some nice ramps on the way out, and waves to ride near the bluffs. Ed commented that the season is now here and that we are now on a nice weekend schedule for those windsport nuts that work during the week. Nice. WD Also, a couple pics are below and more are on the odds and ends page at rochesterwindsports.com Thanks also to Bill for the loan of his helmet cam. I had varying success using it and will try to get some clips together soon. Shortboard Joe Kinger
