Hamburg happened Saturday, with sails ranging from 4-6.5 I stapped on the Helmet cam for some video magic only to discover that I am indeed digitally challenged.
First the memory chip was full so the first 40 min. or so that I thought I was filming was bogus. Then I discovered that the on and off button on top of the camera does in fact turn it off when struck by something, say a sail when you're underwater trying to position the sail for a water start. I also learned later at home that if you think that you saved something on your computer double check it because it might not be true! When I deleted one of the memory chips I used yesterday thinking I had successfully saved it I was dead wrong. I did however managed to not mess up one of the chips so I have some shots for your entertainment. Here are the highlights....
The kite I'm waving to is our buddy Bill Meyers. If you look really close a little later you can see Jimmy King jump out near horizon then jibe. I lost some great stuff of him making a window in his sail earlier. There is a nice scene of downwind Jones showing us the proper technique for waterstarting a 6.5 in 30 mph gusts. A heroic deed in fact. And finally there is our own Skyking chop hopping his way off the shore and heading for the open water.

Ken has bought a new camera with a really nice lens and 12 megapixels. His first successful photo's are below (a couple samples) and after the East Bay pics on the rochesterwindsports.com odds and ends page. Some nice Kite and Windsurfing shots. Thanks Jonsey! Enjoy
