Check it out! skatethebay.org Weather is not looking to promising for this weekend though. The Ice on the Bay is 15 inches thick! After a little melting this weekend and then a freeze up after that, the ice could be good for some snow-free skatesailing. Cross your fingers. Windsurfer Brian W. is a big speedskater. Pics of ice track prep for Skate the Bay can be found at the link below. www.rochesterspeedskating.org/photo_album.aspx?album_id=3748&codes_albumsDir=Asc&FamilyID=845

Photo's of Skatesailing/Freeskating heaven in Massachusetts are at the link below. Awesome boards.........Don't think I would use my nearly new race sail on the ice however...that is, if I had a nearly new race sail. Enjoy the pics. picasaweb.google.com/DeanWithrow/FreeskateJan2009#Windydoug

Just a quick update for all my DH friends. Bob and I drove out to Seneca only to discover wind, warmth and . ..ice. Unfortunately for me and my severely handicapped partner there was about 200 yards of ice along the northern shore of the lake extending from the Chamber to the Park. Beyond that the water's clear. Launching could be possible as close as the pier extending from the Ramada but that has it's own challenges. Sampson Park is another thought but we didn't check it out. In the meantime keep your skates sharp and your skis waxed. wk
