For those that are Interweb challenged like myself, here is a step by step on how I finally achieved success adding a photo to this post.
Chris helped a lot by clearing up some confusion on his Winter Kite Post (check out the nice pics).
You must be logged in (actually, not sure about that). The quick reply option will not work when a thread already exists...you must use the full text editor that has spell check etc...
Step 1:
Either select New Thread, or Reply, which is located in the blue bar above the quick reply area and below the last post in the thread.
Step 2:
Above the box that you type your message in is an area called "Add Tags". Located above Mikey Z's favorite "Add Smiles". One of the buttons has a small picture in it, click that.
two brackets with 'img' will appear within the body of your message wherever your cursor is.
Step 3: This is where I got stuck. Your image must be stored on the web. For example flickr.com, photobucket.com, smugmug.com etc......I viewed the photo below by opening explorer, going to the pic, and then right clicking on it. I then selected 'properties' from the menu, and the resulting information gave me a "URL address".
Evidently, URL is not a competitor of DHL, UPS, or FedX in the shipping business, but internet code for "this is where your image is".

The above is the URL for the photo that is posted below. I highlighted it and then clicked copy. Then went back to this text window already open and running, and put the cursor between the two img brackets by pasting it.
The image will appear when you click the "preview" button below, or when you post your message.
If it doesn't work, don't blame me.....try again!
