Snow kiting has been great the past couple of weeks and looks to be even better after today. Ice is easily a foot thick on the bay and most all fields are in great shape. If you have ever been intersted in getting out now is the time. Steve Billow on his first day out Me cruising around All I have kahones for on the snow

AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME!!!!!!! I am sure I'm not the only one jealous and stoked that you are getting out so much. I would buy a small kite just to be able to do this in the winter. Any other kite folks want to lighten up a dreary winter with tales of snow and wind?
I am hopeful for a couple day thaw to melt snow on top of ice so that I/we can get out skatesailing/freeskating on some good ice. Still at least a month of winter left.
So give us all instructions on how to include a photo in a post now that you have successfully done it. I have tried and not succeeded in the past.
Where are these pics taken?

Pics are from the park near the corner of 5 Mile and Atlantic in Penfield. The Bay has been much better but this was Steve's first time out and he was nervous of the ice and open water in case he fell and got dragged.....wimp. To put a pic in you just click on the button above in the Add Tags: line and it comes up with [/img]. Then you put the web address of the image in between the two. You can pretty much snowkite every day of the week if you had time. Generally you need about 8 mph. This time of year that is all the time. My biggest constraint is not timing the wind but just finding time.
