Not tremendously exciting news, and it should have been posted a week ago.....
On that Super windy day, Bill, Ken, and Doug got out on an ice free Canandaigua. Rick and Lynn were out on Seneca for a couple hours as well. The group of us that got to Canandaigua were a couple hours too late and the wind shifted west as we were rigging, according to Rick the same happened on Seneca. In the super gusty (and water debris) conditions at The Club I ended up riding a 4.7 over-powered in the gusts and Bill and Ken were around the same size. We were heading straight down the lake and will admit to some spectacular wipe-outs! All involved will agree that it was a day to survive and leave the water with your tail between your legs. Rick was wound up on his 5.0 on Seneca and Lynn was getting a new kite set up and figured out.....according the the man on the scene. BTW months ago their was great photo of Lynn kiting (parasailing) in the D and C. It was in a special section about Geneva I believe. Windydoug
