OK, who made it out? I froze my %^& off coaching my daughters softball game in 25 mph. That's my story.

Chris and I are living parallel lives. I Coached a horrid display of middle school girls lacrosse.....we won, but it was ugly. Girls complaining about the wind (the nerve!)..."can I wear a sweatshirt under my uniform" ? Yeah, if I can wear my steamer and leave the game to be at Long Pond. No Long Pong so no sweatshirt. WD

I left the office and spoke with Pete who did another late afternoon drive-by at Long Pond he said that is wasn't any good by that late in the day too much West in it and gusty with big holes. I went to Webster and maybe 6.3m for me at best, so I chose NOT to go out also thought not enough West in it; go figure. I even talked with Kim who lives on the pond and she said was sail-able earlier but nothing too much happening late in the day (confirmation)
Now riddle me this Batman: Buffalo averages 30mph for 13 hours Oswego averages 30mph for 13 hours Rochester sits in the middle of the two sites and records an average of 12mph for the same time period.
This "Cove" is killing me. Heck even if the calender was one day off and yesterday was Sunday we might of had a 4.0m day in Buffalo, & Jim King could have almost died.
Spoke with Lynn at lunchtime yesterday and he already checked out the Lake and said nothing was close enough to shore for even his kite.
Bill & Jonesy both didn't even attempt the shallow end of their favorite club site.
Anyone else got any solid data to share? Did I truly miss something on Rochester soil?

I went to charlotte to kite and it was blowing offshore so I ran down to check out the north end of seneca. Awesome spot to kite! I rode for about 5 hours and froze. Definitly worth it though! I was lit on a 9m Waroo.

Highroller,
That's interesting, the North End of Seneca is not where you usually would go when it's from that direction. The graph from that day was all over the place for Seneca. How was it out on the water, insanely gusty or ok? Be good to know for the future.

Hey Doug, you didn't miss out on anything at the pond. I was there with Art. I sailed a 6.0 he sailed a 5.8. It was terribly gusty and actually not very much fun. To top it off I didn't position my board well enough on the bank while I was carrying my sail across the street. A gust came up and flipped it over and slammed it into the guard rail. Now I have a little hole in my board. Art told me I could fix it with some marine epoxy that I can buy at Home Depot. That was a big bummer for me. To top it off a lady was driving with a kiddy pool in the back of her truck. When she drove past the pond it flew out and landed about 20 feet from where I was standing and right next to where Art would have been standing had he been derigging at that time. It was a bad day. How is the Lake Ontario water temp right now?
