A handful of windsurfer dudes arrived at around 11 or so and it was in the mid twenties straight in at the Chambers....Art, Joe, Bill, Mark, Ken all had their hand at rinsing off their equipment in the balmy October weather. I made a couple passes on a 4.6 and decided it was building fast so I downrigged to a 4.2 on my Mamba 87 l. and at times was ahhangin on for my dear life! Reports were that it had max gusts to 38 and I believe it. At one point I got eaten up by a huge wave and I think I must have completely disappeared gear and all...come to think of it I think I saw Bill down there too! Shortly after winds max'd out it fell off hard and one of the Ithaca boys got stuck and worked on his one handed breast stroke with a 3.5 for what seemed like forever! After Jeff made landfall the local police stopped by for a body count. Ken and I repatriated Jeff back to the other side of the lake. My guess is that we won't be seeing his GoPro footage anytime soon.... Damm...no session beers to celebrate a good dunkin....where is that kid anyhow?

Just a few footnotes. For the record Skymongrel may have been consumed by a wave but he also soared from a few too and managed to slice some nice turns out there. Also it is true that I was munched a few times by some hungry foam headed beasts but it was well worth the sacrifice. Rumor has it Joe's head got wet by the end of the day.
A certain Goya lost it's virginity, kinda. Not to embarrass anyone I will simply say that the Goya did enter the marriage a true virgin, hymen intact and that the honeymoon was short, well very short and there may be a little more pressure needed on that girl's doorway to pleasure to truly say she ain't a virgin anymore. In any case the sailor involved and the board did at least have a date even if he didn't get past second base, or score at least it was a hit!
So the bottom line was that Seneca had a real block party if you look at the graph. For 4 and a half hours the wind was rock solid, mid to high 20s to mid to high 30s. Small sails, small boards, big fun! It was great seeing everyone, the newlwed, Art the newly moved, dry Joe, slipping to the darkside Mark and Mach 2 Scotty, slalom master, good times.

Scotty Skymongrel,
Don't worry about me, the Sessions were still cold when the wind stopped blowing at Seneca. I didn't even get my head wet by the time it was all said and done.
Truthfully, I was shaping the youth of tomorrow in a gym in Fairport. Our elementary cross country (endurance/pacing) running unit features an awesome game based on the kids movie Cars. I had hundreds of little Lightning McQueens flying around our short track with smiles the sizes of grown men's when they are ripping on 4.2 at Seneca. I missed you guys but thanks to the forum I have some excellent imagery in my head of what must have transpired at Seneca....no thanks to 1foot! I'm as uncomfortable as a middle school kid in health class during sex ed.
Did anybody see the new guy from Victor?
Btw, I will be getting my dinged up left shoulder fixed up on Nov. 20 and will be out of commission for a while. Ill be in a sling for six weeks and of the water till sometime around late spring if all goes well. I will be reliving all the good memories from this season.
