A little background. Bill (Windkid) bought a great three season retreat out near Sodus in the middle of last winter. The fantastic place with sun up and sunset views of Lake Ontario is a winner for relaxing and a post session beer.
So, Jim, Joe, Art, Mark *+(and of course Bill) and I headed out for some WNW fun at Bills Place. The wind cycled up and down much of the day which gave us a chance to scope the challenging launch down 30 feet of stairs to the shore break.
The sailing was good once the wind evened out and we were out on anything from 5.0 to 6.6. It was awesome to feel like you were discovering a new place with friends on a beautiful day.It is certainly a place to get out and then stay out, as the launch is crowded at the bottom of the stairs, but aside from Bill who decided on getting a closer look at some shoreline a bit further downwind the day was a success.
Post session beer with a great view was a good way to end it. Thanks Bill!
