The water is cold.
So cold that your feet turn to icicles if you forget to bring your booties.
The wind? Up and down, never became consistent until the front went through and a nukin WNW kicked in straight at the park. The Mayor of W I N D Y was the early bird and probably got the best wind. 5.0 was the call for him, and he looked solid...no aches or pains. Ontario Buoy has my vote for the Kokatat Early Season Water Time award. He had the most time on water on his 6.5 and two different Starboard carving machines. Windkid and I tried our best on 5.8 but spent some time slogging. Art gave it a go on his 5.2 and got a few rides thanks to his skill and light weight before the rain and front sent us packing.
Of note are the two huge windmills erected (keep it clean Reno!) at the industrial site off rt. 14 on the way into Geneva. They were not spinning yesterday, but are very visible from the water.
Also, I got a surprise text from Rick when he and Ed got off the water at Webster park a bit after 6 p.m.. Hopefully H2O will give us a quick right up.

Yea, what a great place for ugly huge props that have not spun in four months. Geneva only gets wind once a month at best on average....green washing...
