I finally have a day off and it looks like a West wind 14-22. I'm guessing the people who know what they're doing are heading to Hamburg for a rockin' day. But I think I've read Hamburg's launch is a bit sketchy and I'm guessing in a West wind you'll have some good sized waves making it even harder.
Do you think Durand could work in a West wind? I know it should be more NW but for a new guy looking for calmer water and a forgiving landscape would it work or am I wasting my time? I'm thinking about trying to start from the beach and use a boat for back up.
...really wish the wind was right for Seneca, but I'm just happy there's (supposed to be) wind!
