Joe and Mark have arrived! Left Fairport Wednesday at 5AM, spent the night in West DesMoines, Iowa on Weds, Lyman, WY on Thurs and were sailing at Maryhill by 5PM on Friday. Believe Joe said he was on a 4.8
Hopefully they will send you updates!

UPDATE, I NEED AN UPDATE!
Tell me anything, anything, please. I nned to get out of this windless funk.
It would make me feel better to hear Joe say something like "Dougie, It was sweet 4.2 at Doug's, swell as smooth as butter." Really, I wouldn't turn green with envy. I just need to know somebody is sailing. I would start to get envious if Joe continued with something like this: "A barge went by so I headed in for a P,Band J. my sail was still dry. Mark and I talked with Dale and Bruce, and we decided to go out on 3.7 since the wind had picked up a bit." Yeah, the envy would kick in after Joe saying (typing) something like that.

Forced to get the 4.8 wet yesterday but mark stayed on 4.5 all day yesterday. Other days 4.0- 4.2. Oh, yeah, 85 degrees and sunny-- how's the weather there? Joe sailed in bathing trunks and wife-beater yesterday. Locals sailed in steamers and dry suits with hoods at same time. Water temp 65 degrees. i guess it is all relative to what you are used to. Have to keep peanut butter in cooler and be careeful with sunscreen--Mark fell asleep in sun and got a little burn. May be light wind today-- we will be forced to go checkout bikinis at beach in Hood River.

Clicking my heels together and saying "there's no place like the Gorge, there's no place like the Gorge......... Oh well, I'm still in Rochester. Maybe wind this weekend, also, maybe sun, maybe rain, maybe no wind.

Just the thought of Joe standing there drippin wet in a wife beater and shorts with purple plastic shoes makes me get all kind of quivery and wish I was there too....

Check out the post stickied to the top of the forum main page (where all the topics are listed. Joe did an update yesterday. How do I know it is Joe??? No capital letters, and the text and content has a sort of poop eating grin to it.
I hear ya though, I want daily updates!
